Introduction

This policy explains what SpriteSheet processes when you use its public pages, browser tools, account features, and AI sprite generator.

Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we process:

1. Account data — Your name, email address, authentication records, invite or membership status, and account preferences.
2. Generation data — Prompts, sprite settings, task status, credit-ledger records, and generated outputs.
3. Uploaded reference images — Images you choose to submit to the AI generator. Browser-only tools such as the splitter and animation preview process files locally and do not upload them.
4. Operational data — Security, error, request, device, and browser information needed to operate and protect the service.
5. Support data — Messages and files you submit through support tickets or email.
6. Analytics data — Page and referral data collected by Google Analytics or Plausible only when those services are enabled on the production site. The isolated Preview does not load production analytics.

How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide the generator, private asset storage, downloads, account access, and support.
• Track generation credits and prevent duplicate or abusive requests.
• Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages.
• Diagnose failures, protect accounts, and improve reliability and usability.

AI Provider and Storage Processing

For AI generation, SpriteSheet sends the prompt, selected generation settings, and any reference image you submit to an AI generation provider. The current Preview provider is KIE.ai. A private reference image is first uploaded by the server to the provider's temporary file service; it is not made public from our R2 bucket. Provider output is downloaded promptly into private first-party storage, and provider task IDs or temporary URLs are not exposed as access credentials.

Provider processing and temporary-file retention are also governed by that provider's terms and privacy practices. Do not upload confidential material or content you do not have permission to use.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these limited cases:

• With infrastructure, authentication, AI generation, email, support, and analytics providers only as needed to deliver the selected feature.
• To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
• To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention and Deletion

We keep account, generation, and support records only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit trails, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Provider-side temporary files may expire sooner. You may request account or asset deletion through the support address below; some limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, or law.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to certain processing of, or delete personal data. Use account settings where available or contact us to make a request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending a notice through the service.
